Hi I am trying to find information on my great grandfather and his father, James monk born 1888 married bessie agnes reece in monmouthshire 1915, His occupation was a haycutter, They had three children, Maurice, Sheilagh and Monica. The story is that James Monk and Jesse Monk came from Swindon as brothers, however looking at some information on both there marriages, they record different fathers.Jessie Monk born 1883 married Frances Phililps in 1911 his father was William Monk Labourer and James Monk was Fred Monk occupation haulier, who was recorded as deceased when James got married in 1915. |

In 1891, James is listed *after* Henry Clack (son, 26) -- which suggests he wasn't a son of William and Mary, or he would appear in the proper order, after "Jessies", son, 9. |
