good morning, i'm trying to find out when james madders died. he was born in Hinstock Shrops c1781. He is still alive in 1871 according to the census. He was married to lydia allen who died in 1873 in west bromwich, staffs which is where he was living. I can see a reference for his son James death in the first quarter of 1875. I can also see a reference for 1855 but if the census is correct this can't be my man! Any ideas would be appreciated. |

oops sorry, forgot to mention that I believe that the lydia mentioned in the 1871 was wrongly recorded as his spouse. His wife lydia was born c 1784 and his daughter lydia was born c1832 so I think this lydia was his daughter. |

Just for further reference, as the very young Lydia had me worried: |

So, have you found his wife elsewhere in 1871? |

So, we are missing a death for James, born 1781, and a marriage or death for Lydia born 1832? And the where-abouts of his wife in 1871 census? |
