My grandfather John Malcolm Humphrey came from Carshalton surrey, he married my nan linda tye but separated in 1946/7 she returned to gloucestershire but he remained there. we know he had a daughter called jacqueline who was born 1946/48. i can not find any records of her can any one help
also the humphrey/peddie lines her name eleanor jeanette peddie his name George bertrum humphrey.

no i dont i am afraid. i have been trawling through b/d/m today and cannot find any record apart from one of jfm 1947 jacqueline L - mother maiden name kitts. but i cannot find any marriage certificate for a wedding so i dont think my gramp married again before he died in july 1950

If he was not married to the mother Jacqueline would not be registered as Humphrey unless her father agreed and was present at the registration
I have looked thro the Bmd for Surrey N E (where JMH died) for births of Jacqueline where the mothers maiden surname is the same as the child and there are 3
