Ages for people over the age of 15 were in general rounded down to the nearest 5 on the 1841 ......... thus the difference in birth year shown on the 1851 census for James and Emma

I agree with Misty that Thomas age on the 1841 is 12, if that is the correct census that you are working from.

Are you sure of your dates? If Thomas was born 1823, that would mean William and Emma were 12 when Thomas was born.

can anybody help me find emmas name i cant get into marriages somehow on ancestry think i need to up grade

i know she seems young to have children but children where sold on in them day so im told and wat ive read
