Hi, Im lead to believe that the records are kept at kendal. Does anyone live there or near there to do some look ups please??

Im after info on my Westmor(e)land Family including christening or baptism records.

Unfortunately my vital record discs refuse to work

I have only been able to find christening for my great grand mother. Ive tried to play around but cant get anything, really frustrating!!!

Even more frustrating being at the wrong end of the country lol!

yes the frist family mentioned is mine, Mary Ann is my gr nanna! I have the 1891 & 1901 census for them. Im trying to go further back and at the same time find christening /marriage entries at Shap church which I believe are held at Kendal.

Yes, Kendal will hold the records for Shap, in fact all records for Westmorland. Records for Cumberland are held at Carlisle.
